Wrinkles are part of the ageing process as, over time, the structural makeup of your skin alters. As we get older, we start to see two kinds of wrinkles appear. Dynamic wrinkles are those caused by repeated facial movements and may commonly form around the mouth and eyes, while static wrinkles are those caused by the loss of collagen in your body.
The good news is, you don’t have to live with lines, wrinkles and scars. Aviemore Dental & Implant Clinic offers a range of facial aesthetic treatments, including dermal fillers, to enhance a youthful appearance and boost your self-confidence.
Dermal fillers plump out fine lines and wrinkles to restore a more youthful appearance, and at Aviemore Dental & Implant Clinic we understand the importance of maintaining healthy, young skin using the most natural option available. We use a dermal filler called hyaluronic acid (HA), which is something that already naturally occurs in the body – in fact about 50 percent of the body’s HA is found in the skin. As we age the levels of HA decrease and our skin loses hydration, causing classic signs of ageing. HA dermal fillers are a popular option to support the skin’s structures and moisture, effectively delaying these classic signs of ageing.
Fillers can be used to define and enhance facial features. Restoring volume to cheeks and under the eyes (tear troughs) can give a fresh, rejuvenated appearance. Nose, chins and jaw-lines can be subtly reshaped to create facial harmony.
Soft, hydrating fillers specially designed for the lip area can restore fullness that has become depleted through time. The lip line can be rebalanced, defined and accentuated – anything from a mild enhancement to a full re-shaping of the lips.
HA can restore lost volume in the cheeks, nose, between the eyebrows and around the mouth, as well as address deep lines and wrinkles.
At Aviemore Dental & Implant Clinic we will discuss with you an agreed and personalised treatment plan to achieve the look you envision and your treatment will be tailored to you. The procedure is straightforward and consists of a few small injections to administer the filler. We apply an anaesthetic cream and the whole procedure for HA dermal fillings will take between half an hour to an hour, while the effects can last from a few months to a couple of years.
